Conference Schedule and Session Descriptions

The 2026 annual conference of the National Association of Extension Program and Staff Development Professionals (NAEPSDP) will be held at the Embassy Suites, Omaha at Downtown Old Market, Omaha, NE, November 3-6, 2026. Our conference theme is "Centering on our Strengths", with each day intentionally designed to build on that focus.

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 | Pre-Conference | Strengthening Our Workplace

An interactive Gallup-led workshop exploring engagement, wellbeing, and sustaining mission-driven workforces in Extension and higher education.
The pre-conference will be held Tuesday, November 3, 1:00-4:30 p.m. at the conference hotel and the fee is $150. There is a separate registration item in the form to choose when registering for the pre-conference.

Using Gallup StrengthsFinder to ground us in our individual and collective strengths.

Thursday, November 5, 2026 | Day 2 | Sharing Our Strengths

Learning from one another through peer-led breakout sessions that highlight expertise within our membership.

Focusing on personal wellness and self-care so we can continue to show up strong in our work.

Planning Your Travel?

Flying to Omaha

Attendees flying to Omaha will want to use Eppley Airfield (OMA), the city's primary commercial airport. Eppley Airfield is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes from the conference hotel, making travel to and from the airport relatively quick and easy. Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare and taxi options are available for transportation between the airport and hotel.

When Should I Arrive?

Conference activities begin on Tuesday, with two options depending on your participation:

Attending Pre-Conference Activities?
Plan to arrive in Omaha with enough time to check in and be ready for the Pre-Conference beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Not Attending Pre-Conference?
Plan to arrive in time to join us for the Welcome Reception at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. This will officially kick off the conference and is a great opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and meet fellow attendees.

We strongly recommend not planning to arrive Wednesday morning. Conference activities will get underway bright and early Wednesday as attendees board buses for our visit to Gallup. Arriving Tuesday will ensure you don't miss transportation or the start of Wednesday's conference experience.

Planning Your Departure

The conference will conclude at noon on Friday. We encourage attendees to consider the conference end time, travel time to the airport, and airport security when selecting a return flight.
